Pink October 2026 : everyone in pink, everyone concerned !
For Pink October, the annual breast cancer awareness campaign, and especially on 20 October, employees from our branches in France and across Europe, as well as from our Resoclean stations, came together for Pink Day. A day dedicated to information, prevention and solidarity. 💗
Pink October at Samat: everyone in pink, in France and across Europe
The day was marked by a collective moment, with a group photo of all participants.
At our head office and in our Rhône-Alpes, Atlantique and Aquitaine branches, at Samat España, Samat Nordic and Haanpaa, all the way to the Resoclean Clean 71 station: everywhere, teams brought out their pink jumpers, shirts, scarves and T-shirts. A simple gesture with a strong message: no one faces breast cancer alone. Here are the pictures! 💗

The day’s programme
Beyond the photo, our teams took the time to talk about it together. Discussion and awareness sessions focused on prevention:
- Introduction to Pink October and the Ruban Rose association;
- Overview of the different types of breast cancer and their treatments;
- Prevention tips and good everyday habits;
- Information on screening and breast self-examination.
The aim: for everyone to leave with simple guidelines, useful for themselves and for their loved ones.
Pink October: key figures and good habits
Every year, Pink October puts the spotlight on the fight against breast cancer. Led in France by the Ruban Rose association, the campaign has a dual purpose: raising awareness of the importance of screening and raising funds for research.
This issue concerns us all. In France, one woman in eight will face breast cancer in her lifetime. It is the most common cancer among women. Men can also be affected, although it is much rarer.
Good habits to remember
- Aged 50 to 74: a screening mammogram every 2 years, fully covered by French health insurance as part of the national screening programme;
- From age 25: a clinical breast examination by a health professional once a year;
- At any age: regular self-examination, and see a doctor without delay if you notice any unusual change (lump, changes to the skin or nipple, etc.).
These guidelines do not replace medical advice: if in doubt, talk to your health professional. Screening recommendations may vary from country to country.
Samat supports the Ruban Rose association
Because early detection can save lives, Samat supports the Ruban Rose association every year with a donation, helping to fund research and public information.
This commitment is part of the “The human is crucial” pillar of our ACT CSR programme: taking care of our employees also means raising their awareness of health issues.
Samat has been taking part in Pink October for several years, and this 2026 edition once again showed the strength of our team, across borders.
Thank you all for taking part! 💗
